Lyrics by Tom Lehrer

The Masochism Tango

I ache for the touch of your lips, Dear,
But much more for the touch of your whips, Dear.
You can raise welts
Like nobody else,
As we dance to the Masochism Tango.

Let our love be a flame, not an ember,
Say it's me that you want to dismember.
Blacken my eye,
Set fire to my tie,
As we dance to the Masochism Tango.

At your command
Before you here I stand,
My heart is in my hand. Ecch!
It's here that I must be.
My heart entreats,
Just hear those savage beats,
And go put on your cleats
And come and trample me.
Your heart is hard as stone or mahogany,
That's why I'm in such exquisite agony.

My soul is on fire,
It's aflame with desire,
Which is why I perspire
When we tango.

You caught my nose
In your left castanet, Love,
I can feel the pain yet, Love,
Ev'ry time I hear drums.
And I envy the rose
That you held in your teeth, Love,
With the thorns underneath, Love,
Sticking into your gums.

Your eyes cast a spell that bewitches.
The last time I needed twenty stitches
To sew up the gash
That you made with your lash,
As we danced to the Masochism Tango.

Bash in my brain,
And make me scream with pain,
Then kick me once again,
And say we'll never part.
I know too wellI'm underneath your spell,
So, Darling, if you smell
Something burning, it's my heart.
Excuse me!

Take your cigarette from its holder,
And burn your initials in my shoulder.
Fracture my spine,
And swear that you're mine,
As we dance to the Masochism Tango.

O qué tal estas otras:

Beat Me

Beat me till I'm black, beat me Till I'm blue,
I will,I will love you.
Beat me till I cry, beat me till I die,
I will love you.
And burn my house to the ground,
I will not make a sound.
Beat me till I bleed, beat me, yes indeed,
I will love you.
Beat me till I cry , beat me till I die,
I will love you.
And burn my house to the ground,
I will not make a sound.
So beat me till I'm black, and beat me till I'm blue,
I will , I will love you.
Beat me till I'm black and beat me till I'm blue,
I will love you, yes, I will love you.

Tango Ballad

There was a time now very far away

When we set up together I and she

I got the brain and she supplied the breast

I saw her right and she looked after me

A way of life then if not quite the best

And when a client came I'd slide out of our bed

And treat him nice and go and have a drink instead

And when he paid up I'd address him "sir

Come any night you feel you fancy her"

That time's long past but what would I not give

To see that whore house where we used to live

That was the time now very far away

He was so sweet and bashed me where it hurt

And when the cash ran out the feathers really flew

He'd up and say I'm going to pawn your skirt

A skirt is nicer but no skirt will do

Just like his cheek he had me fairly stewing

I'd asked him straight to say what he thought he was doing

Then he'd lash out and knock me headlong down the stairs

I had the bruises off and on for years

That time's long past but what would I not give

To see that whore house where we used to live

That was the time now very far away

Not that the bloody times seem to have looked up

When afternoons were all I had for you

I told you she was generally booked up

The night's more normal in the day time will do

And when a client came he'd slide out of our bed

And treat him nice and go and have a drink instead

And when he paid up I'd address him "sir

Come any night you feel you fancy her"

That time's long past but what would we not give

To see that whore house where we used to live

me divierte muchísimo el orate de tom lehrer! lástima que haya escrito tan poquito. si te gusta ese güey, para adelante tienes que escuchar a stephin merrit. tiene líneas literalmente geniales, por ejemplo:

so you quote
love unquote
me...

o éstas:

not for all the tea in china,
not if i could sing like a bird,
not for all north carolina,
not for all my little words...

acá encontrarás una rola de lehrer en flash [la animación es x pero la rola es sensacional].

bueno, y obvio recordar al jefe de todos los jefes: porter. ¿hay un poema mejor que éste?:

You're the top!
You're the Coliseum.
You're the top!
You're the Louvre Museum.
You're a melody
from a symphony
by Strauss
You're a Bendel bonnet,
A Shakespeare's sonnet,
You're Mickey Mouse.

You're the Nile,
You're the Tower of Pisa,
You're the smile
on the Mona Lisa
I'm a worthless check,
a total wreck,
a flop!
But if, baby, I'm the bottom you're the top!*

----------
