It's funny how I always found it difficult to write.
It's undeniable: one of the things I love most is bright white paper and the feeling of ink covering it all. Of course typing the "blank page" in the word processor has nothing to do with it! How could it? And still, as I was telling darling Andy, I find it much easier! Could it possibly be that we are surrendering to the influence of technology?
That's why I find writing, or rather drawing, on my hands with henna sort of a relief. Writing with my fingers on my fingers with the fact that the "ink" remains there for quite a while.
Besides, it is a lot like learning to write again, with all those little traces that become harder to do each time. I can't but remember the old days back in kindergarden, when we used to do all that simple writing in white paper. And of course, that marvelous day in first grade when realising I could actually read and write, I wrote on some now-lost notebook: I know how to read and write!
So self-conscious!
